Calyon and EDF Trading awarded Deal of the Year

Energy Risk magazine has awarded Calyon and EDF Trading 'Deal of the Year' for the trading partnership formed in May 2009.
Energy Risk stated that the deals of the year "cover a wide range of areas and together showcase the wealth of innovation and intellect that is driving the energy markets forward despite some very difficult conditions."
The partnership marries Calyon's commodity risk management and structured finance capabilities with EDF Trading's expertise and systems in managing physical and financial energy, enabling the joint entity to offer a range of new services to clients of the bank.
