EDF Trading, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EDF S.A., announces two appointments to its North American retail and origination businesses:

Mikel (Mike) Smith has joined EDF Trading as Senior Vice President, Retail Supply and Origination.  Smith was previously Managing Director of Retail at ENCOA, the retail division of Twin Eagle Resource Management.

“Mike has over twenty years experience in the energy industry with an in-depth knowledge of the retail energy sector and its operation.  He is a welcome addition to EDF Trading as we continue to expand our wholesale supply services to third party retailers in North America,” said John Rittenhouse, Chief Executive of EDF Trading.

“Bojana has been with us for a number of years and her strong analytical skills and market expertise will greatly enhance her new role as she looks to develop our footprint in the commercial and industrial power and gas markets,” he continued.

Both appointments are effective immediately.  Popovic and Smith will report to Mary Anne Brelinsky, Head of North American Retail and Origination.
