EDF Trading hires Head of Biodiesel Trading


EDF Trading, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EDF S.A., is pleased to announce the appointment of Henri Bardon as Head of Biodiesel Trading effective Tuesday 1st May. Bardon is based in London and reports to François Joubert, Global Head of Environmental Products. Bardon will be responsible for developing a biodiesel business for EDF Trading following its recent acquisition of a 60 KT biodiesel plant in central Austria.

Bardon joins from the Sodrugestvo Group of Companies in Kaliningrad where he was Commercial Director for a soybean crusher. Prior to that, he was responsible for Biofuels at Trafigura and Vertical Asia in Singapore.

“This is a key appointment for us. Henri has an in-depth knowledge of the biodiesel market and his experience in this field will be invaluable as we move into this market”, said François Joubert, Global Head of Environmental Products at EDF Trading.
