EDF TRADING SUPPLIES LONG-TERM SUSTAINABLE ETHANOL TO CANADA
Norcan Petroleum Products (Norcan) and EDF Trading Europe Limited (EDFT) announced today an exclusive transaction for the long-term supply to Norcan of environmentally sustainable ethanol meeting the strict Carbon Intensity (CI) requirements of Canada’s Clean Fuels Regulations (CFR).
Under the Agreement, EDFT will make regular waterborne deliveries of CFR-compliant product to Norcan in both Montréal and Quebec City meeting Norcan's stock level targets. This represents a milestone expansion of EDFT’s biofuels business in North America, while broadening Norcan’s ethanol procurement portfolio to include ultra-low CI product.
