Graduate Applications

If you would like to find out more about working in a trading environment, why not apply for our Graduate Trading Programme. We give you four rotations over a two year period: two in trading and two in either Pricing, Risk or Operations.

During your rotations in trading you will work with some of the best traders in the market and be able to make a real contribution to EDF Trading's Performance.

Programme overview

Join our two-year Commercial Graduate Programme to enhance your knowledge and skills and gain real world experience working alongside industry leading traders and analysts. This is a unique opportunity to join a bespoke programme; rotating across commercial teams including Trading Desks, Analytics, Origination, Quant, Pricing, Data and Risk. Each rotation will provide you with an opportunity to gain a deep understanding of how EDF Trading operates, enabling you to build a solid foundation in the energy commodity markets.

Learning & Development

Alongside practical on-the-job training, we will provide a comprehensive learning and development plan to support your progress over the two year programme.

Our structured curriculum will look to improve personal and technical skills. Additionally, you will be assigned a buddy and a mentor to offer support and guidance throughout your stay with us.

Upon successful completion of the programme, we look forward to welcoming you as a permanent member of the team in one of the departments you worked for.

You’ll have the opportunity of putting into practice the skills you have learned and developed during your two year rotation.

What we look for

We are looking for people who are motivated to succeed in a fast-paced trading environment. You will possess strong analytical skills and a keen interest in commodities and the financial markets, demonstrated by a degree in a relevant subject.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:1 in an analytical / numerical subject
  • At least 6 months' work experience in a relevant industry
  • Knowledge of programming languages
  • A resilient, hardworking and proactive attitude
  • The right to work in the UK
