Nora Kalinskij

Nora joined EDFT in 2019. Her remit was to build our first internal political risk monitor which she has done and continues to expand. Nora also briefs our front office teams on regulatory developments in the German power and gas markets.

In her own words

I came to energy trading through politics. Political decisions, particularly those linked to the decarbonisation agenda are increasingly a risk factor and helping a complex business navigate these issues was a challenge that enticed me. In Regulatory Affairs, excellent technical knowledge of the energy markets is essential but is nothing without effective communications. I support desks that work with different commodities, geographies and trading horizons and adapt my message to these different audiences is definitely a skill which I've developed since joining.
