How important is it to have a strong risk management framework for an energy trading house?

A strong risk management framework is essential to an energy trading house like us. We need to strike the right balance in order to allow our commercial teams to take measured risks whilst expanding our business into new activities, maintaining a diversified trading portfolio and ensuring that our capital base and shareholders equity is protected at all times.

What are the most important attributes of successful leaders today?

A successful leader is one that openly listens to their teams, treats them with respect, is open, fair and authentic. You need to trust in the abilities of your team, lead and be accountable for their actions at all times.
